Recognition to university students awarded at the Álklasinn Innovation Conference
Encouragement acknowledgments were given to university students today at the Álklasinn Innovation Conference in Reykjavík University. The Innovation Conference is held annually to discuss the latest research and development in the field of industry. Among the topics covered were studies on aluminum alloys, sleep research on shift workers, and innovations in aluminum and waste recycling in the aluminum and silicon industries. The Álklasinn, University of Iceland, Reykjavik University, Technological Institute, Samál, and the Confederation of Icelandic Industries are involved in organizing the Innovation Conference.
DTE’s very own Arnar Guðnason received recognition for his master’s thesis at the University of Iceland, titled “Digital Transformation in the Aluminum Industry – from an Innovation Ecosystem perspective.” In his research, he investigated how key stakeholders in the aluminum industry can influence the progress of innovation.
DTE was a proud sponsor of the Encouragement acknowledgments this year!
