Recently, DTE delivered a molten metal analyzer to SINTEF in Trondheim, Norway, for their casting and recycling laboratory on the NTNU campus.
“This is a breakthrough technology for us as a research organisation, working both to understand and to develop alloying and recycling processes and to understand process fundamentals. With a broad industrial customer base as well as our close connection with education and competence-building, DTE’s LIBS-based molten-metal analyzer will be a unique addition to our portfolio for the benefit of supporting new breakthrough research and knowledge,” commented Anne Kvithyld, Senior Research Scientist at SINTEF.
SINTEF plans to use the equipment for a number of industry-focused research projects for improving understanding of melt kinetics.
